Despite covering up with high factorsunscreen, a toddler still suffered first and second degree burns.

Three-year-old Liam Sayers, from Virginia in the US,was with his mother, Jennifer on Eastern Shore in Virginia for the Memorial Weekend holiday. His mother sprayed him withSPF 50+ Banana Boat kids sunscreen before allowing himto play.

Ms Sayers toldCBS 6that she even reapplied the sunscreen as directed, severaltimes during the day after her kids come out of the water and were dried completely. She said she even covered her hands with the lotion before applying it to her son.
