Are These Old Wives’ Tales Facts or Fibs? Take the Quiz and Find Out!

Older woman with glasses and a wide-brimmed hat, looking curious.

We’ve heard it all.

From techniques to avoid getting sick to fast remedies when you doget sick, there are old wives’ tales for just about anything and everything we’re doing. You can’t just go through the entire course of pregnancy without your mum or grandmum or your elderly neighbour telling you what to eat, what to wear, and what to freaking say. Most of the time, they mean well, but you can also expect some clucks of disapproval when you choose to do stuff your own way.

Which is why a lot of people just follow old wives’ tales anyway, not taking time to understand whether they are based on truth or just a figment of our grandmothers’ collective imaginations.

Whether you follow them or not, I’m pretty sure you know a handful of old wives’ tales passed on from generation to generation.
