Linda Dessau, Governor of Victoria
Victoria’s first female Governor was sworn in on July 1, 2015. The Governor of Victoria is the Queen’s representative in Victoria. The role is largely ceremonial, but it is also responsible for upholding the Victorian Constitution and has the ability, in certain circumstances, to dissolve the Victorian Parliament.
