3. It Lowers the Quality of Your Sleep

It’s not just falling asleep and staying asleep that can be a challenge when you sleep with your phone close by. A study found that people who use their phones before falling asleep, and have them nearby when they sleep, made them feel more tired the next day.

4. It’s A Fire Hazard

If you’re one of the people who really, really likes to snuggle up with your phone, take note. You are risking burning your entire house to the ground. Having your phone tucked into your bed, or tucked under your pillow or mattress while it charges is a recipe for fire, as the New York Police Department reminded us earlier this year.
