Simply mix one teaspoon of flour with a pinch of salt. You don’t need to add water to the mixture simply dip your finger into it and suck.

8. Potatoes

Get some carbs into your body by peeling and chopping two potatoes. Boil them with water. Drain the potatoes but keep the liquid. Add a little salt to the liquid and drink. Yes, it sounds disgusting but many people swear that this mixture will cure diarrhoea. And, if you’re like me, you’ll try anything to get your bowels back to normal again!

9. Hydrolyte

via Home Care Nutrition

Finally, while Hydrolyte is not a home remedy, it is a must when you or your little one is suffering from diarrhoea. Hydrolyte can be bought in an icy pole form or a mixture to add to water and will rehydrate you after you have lost so much liquid and nutrients due to diarrhoea. If your little one is under the age of six months and has diarrhoea, then contact your doctor or emergency department asthey may require intravenous fluid to keep uptheir hydration levels.
