10 Easy Ways To Have More ME Time

1. Get Up Early

This is one of the easiest and quickest ways to get a peaceful hour to yourself.  Everyone else is asleep so you can decide whatever it is you want to do.  By making the most of this beautiful time of day, you have set yourself up for a great day. Use it to meditate or just have a long bath.  You will be smiling all day.

Now if you’re having a hard time sleeping, then perhaps you can reap the benefits of sleeping naked?

2. Organise Your Day

Look at the events of the day and ask yourself what you will need.  Put some new systems in place to help with the day to day.  Have lunches sorted for the week ahead.  Wrap, and freeze portions of lunch snacks on the weekend so you can just grab them.  Get ironing done on weekend and try not to be ironing every day.   Maintain order in your home and office.  If everything has its place, it is not hard to keep your home tidy.

3. Prioritise Tasks

Deciding what order to do tasks will help you decide how much time you need to spend on that task.

Sometimes, you will realise the task isn’t important and should be simplified or eliminated altogether.  This is a valuable step so don’t miss it.

4. Gap Time

The time spent waiting for events can be as much as 5 hours a day.  You may feel like it is not enough time to do anything but use this time to help with future activities. Read the day’s mail, meditate to solve a problem, rehearse a difficult task in your head so you will be able to perform better.  Plan your weeks dinner menu along with the shopping list required. Or better yet, keep yourself entertained with a popular diet book or a parenting book. Don’t waste these minutes, hours or days of the week.

5. Check Emails Less

Try to check emails less than you do.  Every time you check emails, internet, facebook etc, you are being sidetracked from what is important.  It is a form of task avoiding so ask yourself , “Is it necessary?” You are prone to post things on Facebook you should never put out there, too.
