Halloween is just around the corner!? And even though we don’t make too much of a huge full of it here in Australia, I still like the fun of making some of the scarier snacks – especially during the school holidays and getting the kids involved!
This recipe for Halloween Pretzel Broomsticks is piss easy and pretty healthy too – a great way to enjoy cheese and crackers!

Ingredients
12 Pretzel sticks
6 Cheese sticks
1 number small bunch Chives
Directions
- Method:
- Cut the cheese sticks in half.
- Carefully cut 3/4 of the end of the cheese sticks with a sharp knife, and carefully pull apart the outer cheese layers to fan out (so it looks like a broom).
- Skewer the non-chopped cheese stick end with the pretzel sticks.
- Wash and dry the chives. Find the really skinny chives and carefully tie the chives around the top of the cheese stick so they remain secure.
- Serve and enjoy!
