Halloween Pretzel Broomsticks with Candy Eyes.

These dainty Halloween Pretzel Broomsticks?look more cute than scary to me!

Halloween is just around the corner!? And even though we don’t make too much of a huge full of it here in Australia, I still like the fun of making some of the scarier snacks – especially during the school holidays and getting the kids involved!

This recipe for Halloween Pretzel Broomsticks is piss easy and pretty healthy too – a great way to enjoy cheese and crackers!

Ingredients

  • 12 Pretzel sticks

  • 6 Cheese sticks

  • 1 number small bunch Chives

Directions

  • Method:
  • Cut the cheese sticks in half.
  • Carefully cut 3/4 of the end of the cheese sticks with a sharp knife, and carefully pull apart the outer cheese layers to fan out (so it looks like a broom).
  • Skewer the non-chopped cheese stick end with the pretzel sticks.
  • Wash and dry the chives.  Find the really skinny chives and carefully tie the chives around the top of the cheese stick so they remain secure.
  • Serve and enjoy!
  • Tips and Hints:
  • Best made just before eating.
  • Not suitable for freezing
