Ingredients

  • 3 gram Plain flour

  • 0.5 tsp Baking powder

  • Pinch salt

  • 1 tsp Bicarbonate of soda

  • 0.66 cup Cocoa-or carob powder

  • 2 cups Sugar

  • 2 tbsp Vinegar

  • 2 cups Water-chilled

  • 0.66 cup Vegetable oil

  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and grease a 23 cm cake tin.
  • Sift flour, salt, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and cocoa into large bowl.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix.
  • Pour into greased tin and bake for 40 -45 minutes.
  • Let cool on racks.

    I love this recipe, its been in my cook book for years,
    stays fresh for ages too, not that you can cause it goes so quickily
    i usually make it up in muffin pans

    This is the best cake recipe, I also double the dry ingredients add some walnuts or pecan nuts. Place tablespoon drops onto a biscuit tray and cook for 10-15 minutes. Don’t overcook them
