Ingredients
250 gram Beef mince
2 tbsp Milk
0.25 cup Breadcrumbs
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Eggs-lightly beaten
125 gram Blue cheese
1 tsp Brown Sugar
1 tsp Butter
6 Pumpkin-roasted see instructions below
1 Tomato-sliced
0.5 cup Rocket leaves
6 Cheese slices-halved
3 Bacon Rashes-halved
6 Bread rolls
Directions
- Preheat oven to 170 degrees.
- Place pumpkin slices on a lined tray, lightly spray with oil season with salt and pepper and bake for 15 minutes. Turning once.
- Place mince, milk, Worcestershire, egg and breadcrumbs together in bowl, mix well (I used my hands, but it can get quite messy so feel free to use a fork or wooden spoon).
- Roll into 6 patties, stuff centre with a 1 tablespoon of blue cheese.
- Place in fry pan over medium to high heat and cook for 3-4 minutes each side.
- Cook bacon rashes in fry pan (no need to clean, the pattie juices add that little bit more flavor) for 2 minutes on each side. Set aside.
- Put brown sugar, butter and onion in the fry pan (yep still no cleaning, flavor making!) and over medium heat stir until soft and caramelised.
- Cut bread rolls in half and top with cheese.
- Melt under grill for 2 minutes until just golden.
- Top cheese with pattie, onion, bacon, pumpkin, rocket and tomato.
- Put the lid on your roll.
- Recipe Hints and Tips:
- Blue Cheese Burger patties are suitable to freeze for up to three months.
- You can also make them a day in advance then reheat before serving.
