Golden Bake – The One Dish Wonder

This Golden Bake recipe is very frugal, very simple, very delicious!

It’s very similar to a Shepherd’s Pie and it’s also one of our favourites here at SAHM. When you get bored with the Shepherd’s pie, try this one out!

Golden Bake is very similar to a Shepherd’s Pie. The biggest difference is the addition of pumpkin, which the recipe uses with mashed potatoes. Sceptical of this change at first? Same here.

Surprisingly, it works well. The pumpkin adds a richness and depth of flavour that plain mashed potatoes can’t match.

It also gives the pie a beautiful golden colour. The pumpkin can make the filling balanced, and the pie crust can be a bit crispy to your liking. Overall, though, Golden Bake is a delicious and easy-to-make recipe that is sure to please any crowd.
