Clever Mum Creates Sandpit Hack That Made Everyone Go Wild!

Sandpit hack for kids' outdoor fun and creativity.

A clever mum has created a sandpit hack costing her only $8 from Kmart that made parents all over the internet go wild.

Krystal Findlay, from South Australia is being praised after inventing a clever sandpit hack by using an $8 tent from Kmart that she filled with sand to make an outdoor play area.

The mum of twins, Ethan and Ava-Rose, posted the smart idea on Kmart Mums Australia – and other mums can’t get over it!

Krystal said that she’originally had a shell pool which she was using as a sandpit, but said she was worried about the sun exposure.

“As a mum I was thinking how can I still let them have fun and protect them from the sun,” Krystal tells – Be.

“I purchased the tent because we were going camping and I used it to put their toys in so they had somewhere to play still and had shade.

“That’s when it dawned on me to use it when we got home for their sandpit. They love it and I’m happy because not only do they have more room to play but they have shade.”

Kids playing in a DIY sandpit with toys, inspired by clever mum's innovative hack. Perfect for outdo.

Apart from protecting her kids from the sun, her ‘invention’ has an added bonus as it can be zipped so that no bugs or cats can get in.

She said that the play area’costs less than $20 the $8 tent from Kmart and five bags of sand from Bunnings for $7.20.

Now, mums can’t wait to steal her idea.
