Rust

Ever feel like you’re just throwing your money away with cosmetics? We wouldn’t be surprised if you feel like that after realising that rust is a common cosmetic ingredient. Listed on the back as ferrous oxide, it’s just rust wearing a fancy dress, and is used to give cosmetics a pink colour. In fact, it’s found in calamine lotion, easily something we were all smothered in at some point or another. You can also find it listed as pigment brown six or pigment red 101. What is it really?
