5. Your Blood Pressure And Heart Rate Decrease

When we’re asleep, our bodies don’t need to work as hard keeping us alive, which means that during nap time, both the blood pressure and heart rate decrease. In a state of rest, your body simply does not need as much blood to work, so your cardiac muscle and circulatory system have time to rest and repair. If you have high blood pressure, this drop can be very beneficial, which is why getting enough sleep is so important.
