Sanguivoriphobia is an irrational fear of vampires, with the word literally meaning ‘fear of blood eaters’. Sanguivoriphobia remains relatively new in the world of phobias, but it can be challenging to live with like any irrational fear. A person suffering from this phobia will become terrified if they encounter any kind of vampire, whether they are in costume or even in books and films. They may also fear that those around them are vampires.

Astraphobia is a very difficult phobia to live with as it involves an irrational fear of lighting or thunderstorms. Of course storms are common all over the world and for the most part they do not represent a danger to the average person. However someone with astraphobia will believe and fear that they are in great danger from lightning and thunder. Interestingly, this is one kind of phobia that is seen in both humans and animals.
