She Was Sick of Being Photoshopped, So She Did This

Natural beauty and confidence in a woman’s face without Photoshop edits.

Grammy award winning singer Colbie Caillat is turning heads with her video all for the right reasons.

Tired of keeping up an image to make her music marketable, this 29-year-old got real by writing a song on what real beauty should be like entitled ‘Try’.

In an interview, Colbie opens her heart on why being yourself is better than being a fake.

“When I see gorgeous models and singers and they look perfect on their album covers, it makes me want to look like that, too, and it makes me feel like if I don’t Photoshop my skin on my album cover, I’m the one who’s going to look a little off and everyone else is going to look perfect. And that’s what everyone is used to seeing. They’re used to seeing people on the album covers completely photoshopped. On one of my album covers, my arm was shaved down and it made me look very skinny. I think that gives a false reality. ” the singer said.

Watch this video and let it reevaluate your view on what real beauty is.

Because you don’t have to try so hard.

Be real. Be yourself!
