While it’s easy to define physical affair, emotional cheating is far more vague.

A lot of questions come to mind when it comes to emotional cheating. What constitutes it? When do you cross the line between friendship and an affair? Does it need to be physical before you consider it cheating?

And so, it is important to know the warning signs that your partner had gone astray in your relationship. Your partner may have not went too far as to exchange a kiss or snuggle up with someone, but his/her late night texting or sharing too much information with another person may be enough to consider him/her cheating on you.

1. Lying about being close to a certain person.

2. Telling another person about problems in your relationship.

3. Telling another person intimate things.

4. Deletes/hides conversations of a certain person.

5. If you are not the ‘first spot’ in his/her thoughts everyday.

6. When your partner’s priority is no longer you.

7. When they act “puppyish” around another person.

8. Ignoring your feelings.

9. Choosing to be physically held by another person.
