How to Clean Your Microwave

Clean microwave interior with bowl and steam for easy grime removal.

How to Clean Your Microwave

My microwave gets manky very quickly – especially when you have children and you use it almost constantly.  But don’t fear, this method is super easy, natural and will get it squeaky clean – clean enough to eat off it!

What you will need:

  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • microwave proof bowl

In a proof bowl – add 1 cup of white vinegar and 1 cup of water.  Microwave on HIGH for 10 minutes.  When it’s finished – leave for about 5 minutes to ‘steam’.  Then carefully remove the bowl and give your ‘Ding-Oven’ a quick wipe over.  The vinegar will get rid of any odours (it may smell strongly of vinegar for a few minutes – but this won’t last long!).

It will now look as good as new!

Vinegar Substitution:

If you don’t have white vinegar, grab a lemon or even just lemon rind, cut it up and pop it into the water to use instead of vinegar. – Makes it smell delicious!
