Clean your roof. You will be surprised how dirty roof tiles and tin can get. If your budget can stretch to a new roof it will freshen up your home and do wonders for your curb appeal. Also check gutters and downpipes for any paint scraps and broken pieces. You may also want to repaint or replace these along with the roof.

Windows look sad when they are dirty so make sure you clean them regularly inside and out. And all curtain linings and blinds should match when seen from the street or the driveway.

Replace old and dingy door knobs (including the garage door and side gates) and front porch light fixtures. You may not need to buy new ones or a good old polish might do the trick, but replacing them won’t break the bank and will make a powerful first impression.
