1. The longest pregnancy on record was a whopping 375 days long!  It was recorded in 1945 in the United States.  Surprisingly, the baby was only 6 pounds, 15 ounces!

2. 70% of Expectant Mums suffer from mild to moderate morning sickness.  The other 30% are just plain lucky!

3. Many women can go up as much as a whole shoe size towards the end of their pregnancies.  This is because of the added weight of the body bearing down, and swelling in feet.  Unfortunately, this does not always go away after birth.

4. Nigerian Mothers are the most likely women in the world to have a twin birth.  Scientists seem to think it is due to the amount of yams the mother eats.

 

5. Sadly, 10% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage.
