This activity is absolutely perfect for the kids,�but even parents will find themselves accessing their inner child here! Just a short walk from Darwin’s city centre, you’ll find Doctor’s Gully, and the Aquascene fish feeding experience. Over the last 50 years, people have been observing hundreds of friendly fish coming into the bay with the high tide, and thanks to a boat ramp, visitors can feed, and even pat, those fish.

7. See The Stunning Nitmiluk National Park
If you want to make some amazing memories on a trip with your family,�Nitmiluk National Park is the place to do it. Inside, you’ll find Katherine Gorge, an enormous gorge and river system, as well as Leliyn (Edith Falls). In both places, there are great bush walks of varying lengths to suit kids and adults, as well as stunning spots to swim. At Katherine Gorge, you can also take cruises along the river to see the sights, or take in it via canoe!

8. Swim At The Warm Springs
Hot springs aren’t always the most family friendly places, with the threat of being burnt ever present. In the Northern Territory, however, there are warm springs. At Mataranka and Bitter Springs, you’ll find easy, accessible warm pools and rivers, heated naturally�to a gentle 34 degrees. Kids and adults alike will love swimming in the thermal pools and rivers, and Mataranka in particular is a great place to spot native red flying foxes!
