Most babies love water. And the ones that don’t, well, they still need to have a bath. So you can’t go wrong with swimming items and bath toys. Think along the lines of a sun hat, reusable swim nappies, a cute rash vest, a hooded beach towel for the beach trips. Soft bath toys or a towel with the baby’s name embroidered on it are great presents for bath time.
When shopping for an infant under six months it’s best to go with soft, colourful toys. Ones that you can attach to the pram or car seat work great. A play mat, a soft material book or a teddy bear are also good gift ideas for wee ones.

You can find some pretty unique outfits for babies these days. However, most mums and dads will be bombarded with the standard onesies so look for something a little different. One of my friends once started a travel fund for our little one. Every year she deposits $25 into a bank account that she took out just for him. It’s not much but by the time he turns 18 or 20, he can use the money to pay for accommodation or tour bookings. Her only stipulation he must use it to travel somewhere special and exotic. Sounds pretty good to me!
