61. My “eggs” popped mom!

My son (5- almost 6) was playing around a bench in a hotel lobby. He was doing some pseudo-ninja moves and lost his balance and came down very abruptly, basically slammed in a froggy/ straddled position on the corner of the bench. It looked painful but he didn’t cry, so I tried not to react either. He reflexively reached down and grabbed himself, and his face got very serious and still.

“Mom, you know my eggs?”

“………?”

“Those eggs I have. It popped.” His eyes get very wide and panicky.

“What??” trying so hard not to laugh. “No, buddy. You’re ok. They didn’t pop. They’re there. You’re ok.”

“No, they’re gone. It popped!” Now his voice is rising a bit, and not gonna lie, I panicked for a minute too. Did they pop? Can they pop?

“I promise you they’re still there. Don’t worry.” I tell him to check again, and he does. Lifts a leg up a little bit to make sure he really gets in there and he exhales loudly.

“They came back, mom.”

Edit: FTR I have no idea where “eggs” came from. He knows they are testicles. Maybe the shock? – ThePearDream
