A cashier has melted hearts worldwide after lettinga girl, who’s blind and has autism, play “shops”.
Mum, Amanda Wilkins, couldn’t thank hercashierenough.Ms Wilkins’ daughters, who are legallyblind and have autism, began having a meltdownwhile out grocery shopping. The quick-thinking cashier at the checkout allowed the two girls toring up each grocery item themselves at the register.
Ms Wilkins postedon Facebookthe heartwarming photo of her daughter, Holly, along with the cashier, scanningher milk at the register.
Shesaid that she and her two daughters were shoppingat Morrisons in Basingstoke when both her girls decided to have ameltdown. She was surprised when a lady cashier decided to help her daughters instead of judging them. She said that the cashierlet one of her daughters, Holly, scan all her groceries, which she said was adream come true for Holly who loves playing ‘shops’.
“It melts my heart to come across people that are prepared to go the extra mile, and little acts of kindness makes a massive difference to my world,” Ms Wilkinswrote.
She said that she didn’t see the stranger’s name, so she hopes that social media will help her send her thanks to the kind lady cashier.
The post has now more than 540,000 likes and more than 99,000 shares.
